Software Sales Representative - Remote

Fulcrum is looking for a highly motivated Software Sales Representative to join our team! We are a 22-year-old company with a brand new SaaS product. You will be helping us market and sell our new product and attract new customers. Our goal is to get 5000 users by end of 2022! Our new software has been designed for anyone, anywhere, to track anything. Working for Fulcrum means being part of a small team where you will have a daily impact on our products success while working with a dynamic group of people.

You will report directly to the CEO while working closely with our in house marketing team and  part time sales rep. The ideal candidate will help us develop our sales department. You will help fill our sales pipeline and own the end-to-end sales process. You will qualify the sale, understand the prospect’s needs, demonstrate the product, and follow up throughout the sales process to ensure the sale is closed. You will need to know our newest  is closed. You will need to know our newest product inside and out and be able to explain the value of our product. You’ll be representing Fulcrum as the relationship builder with our future customers. This role is an opportunity for you to shine and deliver exciting new prospects to our team!


  • Implement and maintain a sales process – Work to develop and fine tune our current process and ensure it is followed.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads – The majority of your time each day will be spent targeting and qualifying sales leads.
  • Strategize - In a typical week, you will work closely with the CEO, Marketing and Product teams to ensure our efforts are aligned to maximize sales.
  • Build relationships – As our first contact with potential customers you’ll need to know our target market, identify leads, listen to their needs and explain how we can solve them. As the relationship builder, you will be expected to manage all leads from start to finish which come through our website, social media, and marketing campaigns. You’ll be the point of contact throughout every stage of the sales process.
  • Manage our CRM system -  you will maintain our current CRM system to manage our relationships with our customers.
  • Demonstrate our product – you will give the initial presentation and demonstration of our product. You will need to be proficient in using your mobile phone to present on your computer for demos.
  • Trade Shows – in the future you will attend trade shows and represent Fulcrum and our products. We need the right people on the floor to connect with our potential customers and convert them into leads – and that right person should be you!
  • Present to the team – you will provide updates at our weekly company meetings on what you’re working on, exciting accomplishments, etc.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • 3+ year of sales experience successfully driving sales in a software market.
  • Proven track record selling SaaS/web-based solutions.
  • Experience performing full sales cycle, including developing strategies for lead generation, cold calling/prospecting, following up on leads, demos over the web and proposal generation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and know when to seek guidance.
  • Ability to work in situations that can be unstructured and potentially stressful.
  • Ability to change priorities quickly and capacity to handle multiple tasks.
  • Must be detail-orientated with exceptional organization and time management skills.
  • Outstanding communicator via phone and email to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM (HubSpot a plus) or sales management tools (LinkedIn Navigator a plus).
  • Demonstrate strong desire to keep up-to-date on technology trends, changes and best practices.
  • Most importantly be excited to help drive sales and to deliver on your commitments.
